If I was a professional footballer I was thinking of joining EITHER us or Everton I think what may sway me is that the daily Mail rated our kit an 8/10… and Everton a 6/10… little things like that are important

They must hate Forbes for publishing that article having us as the 15th richest club in the world. There's now no excuse and nothing to hide behind. Yes the fees are obscene but we should be able to compete financially for the players we have targeted, providing they want to come here of course, and perhaps that's part of the problem. We have nothing to offer in terms of European football and our pedigree isn't exactly champions league, so it's hard to land the likes of those we have been linked to. Payet was a one off signing and he was off like a shot when he realized we weren't gong to be in Europe again any time soon.

Mike, public bids from us already. Also told the entire world who are targets are weeks ago and in some cases months ago.
Everyone knows we are after strikers and which ones.
How about they stop fucking about trying to save a few million quid and just sign one of these targets.
Bid a low 22m each a few days ago for 2 strikers which were rejected and not gone back in, why?
To me it looks like they won't spend the money required and the main concern is not spending much money as usual, so we will end up saving 5 -10m and not getting the players we actually identified as ""GAME CHANGERS" and will end up with no: 10 on the list.

So, what should it be with regard to transfers then?
All out thoughts out in the open, letting others dictate the price we pay and alerting others to our targets, or play close to the chest and only release information on done deals?
There's no middle ground, no matter how many times you click your heels together and wish hard there was.
